Cynically Sweet (Booklikes)

I'm not the most active user here on Booklikes. In fact, sometimes I forget that it even exists. However, I endeavor to come back and post more stuff that I enjoy.

My reviews aren't guaranteed to be something you agree with and my perspective on books isn't something most people generally want. However, I still hope that there's something you can gain from them and you don't feel as if you've wasted your time reading them.

Don't just take my word for it; read the books yourself and form your own opinion!

No Shades of Grey: A Six-Word Story

No Shades of Grey: A Six-Word Story - Rosen Trevithick I obtained a copy of No Shades of Grey by Rosen Trevithick during a promotional period when it was free on Amazon.com.au. The 13th to 17th February 2015 are the dates it is free so you may still be able to obtain a copy of your own if you are reading this within that time period.

The book's aim is to encourage people to respect the consent of their partner. It accomplishes this very well and even provides some humorous aspects. The "story" is only six words long. However, the book is padded with translations of all types such a haiku, crossword, hangman, textspeak and many other unusual ways to get the point across. My personal favourite is the Shakespeare translation.
